Car seat safety
I was chatting to a mum in the playground today who told me that she had recently written off her new 4-wheel drive car in a high speed accident on a dual carriageway.She hit a patch of black ice on a drizzly morning whilst taking her 3 children, all under 6, out for the day. Amazingly everyone escaped uninjured but very shocked.
The police on the scene commented as to how her well fitted her car seats were and that this definitely helped to keep the kids firmly in position and prevent injuries.
Remember, if you ever hire or borrow car seats from anyone always ask to make sure that they haven’t been involved any kind of accident, which could compromise their safety.
